Niyanta Kunal Patel

dear god/oh god

dear god/ I want to suck them through my skin through osmosis/
god is that weird to say out loud/ god/ god/ god/ S must be the best
letter in the whole alphabet/ goddamn/ god/ I have the flexiblest legs
east of the Mississippi to keep my right foot wedged in my mouth
and my left buried up their ass/ god/ is there a mosquito on my forehead/
oh god/ tell it to give me back my blood/ I did not give it permission
to take from me/ god/ please let there be a god or I will make a god
of myself/ and that is god/ I mean/good/ for no one/ god/ I thought
I soured my blood long ago/ I thought I was undrinkable/ god/
was I drunk when I wrote this or did I really forget how to spell
their name/ wait god/ is this bite acceptance/ god/ 4 out of every 3
Americans got me fucked up/ wait god/ is this mosquito a gift/ is this
my donation to the higher family of things/ god I am roiling
in histamine/ god/ I do not know what to do with sweet blood/
